STORIES: Sefton Deviates Club at Sydney

The Deviates are a group of men who have organized strip shows since 1991 in houses and garages throughout western suburban Sydney.

A small selective audience of regular customers knowing the erotic dancers from clubs around Sydney, participate in a performance which involves mutual respect and admiration. The founders of 'The Deviates Club' have been through a long history of having had to deal with resistance from the hotels and clubs were they had organised shows. But thanks to their persistence are still every month continuing their venues at their own homes and garages. I have been photographing the venues occasionaly from 2005 till 2009.

Every Friday and Saturday nights Sally and Tamsin offer stripper gramms in and around Sydney who perform 5 shows a night or more in suburbian living rooms, backyards as well as known hotels and bars and other surprising locations. Sally and Tamsin are on the road acompanied by their driver and guardian angel Peter who has been driving her them many years. Sally and Tamsin have been working in most men's clubs in Sydney and perform own private strip shows for different agencies who organise stripper grams in Sydney. They both started erotic dancing at a young age, since they are 17.
